Happy New Year Our first Guild Meeting for 2026 is on January 28 at 7:00 pm and will be a presentation by Veruschka. A email will be sent out to all members a couple of days prior to the meeting. If you are not a current member and would like to attend the Zoom meeting please click the link below This presentation will detail the quilting journey and upcoming projects of Veruschka Zarate, of Pride & Joy Quilting. From traditional quilt piecing to falling in love with Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP), we will explore how she is using foundation paper piecing to bring about fresh and modern pieces for quilters to make. We will discuss her development as a quilt maker and designer sharing all sorts of tips, tricks and techniques she has learned along the way. Membership: Membership runs from Sept 1 to Aug 31 inclusive. You can renew by mailing the membership form, which can be found in the “About Us” tab. We currently do not have a waiting list. New Members are welcome! Visitors/Guests: Visitors/Guests are welcome at our meetings for a fee of $10.00. You do not need to be accompanied by a member. |
Fourth Wednesday of the month at the Newmarket Community Centre 200 Doug Duncan Drive. Our meetings are in-person from September to May; In-Person September to November and March to May; Zoom meetings January and February and No meeting in December. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm. Doors are open at 6:30 pm for socializing.
Primitive log cabin
The original look and feel of the Primitive log cabin workshop by Sandy Beintema Lindal was what I though not up my ally. But after seeing some results from the workshop, I am sorry I missed it. Please see a couple of beautiful quilts from the workshop.


Our very own Quilter Martha Schellingerhoud has created and stitched an award winning quilt and won a CQA first place ribbon. I have seen this quilt in person and it is absolutely stunning and beautiful. The picture below does not do the quilt justice.
