Region Of York Quilters Guild is proud to present our next quilt show!

Raffle Quilt:

The resulting quilt will be used to raise money for two Women's Shelters in York Region: "The Yellow Brick House " and "Sandgate". Both facilities can put all donations to good use, helping those in our communities so in need of their services.

Raffle tickets are available from any of our guild members. They are being sold for $2.00 each. When you purchase 1 ticket, your chances of winning this beautiful quilt are 1 in 5000.

Sany Kollman and Marilyn Sorochan will be at the Quilt Show table to distribute raffle tickets. The tickets are packaged in books of 10.

Volunteers

Approximately 120 volunteers are required during the show to help things run smoothly. Everyone is encouraged to participate.
Guild Challenge

The quilt show will also feature the quilts from the guild challenge. Members were asked to ‘modernize’ the Log Cabin using the four fabrics provided in the kit. Rules about size and amount of additional fabric were in place to test the talents of each participant even more. Skill levels based on the number of quilts previously made by the contestants, put the quilters into three different categories. Come to the Tea Room to see these Works of HeART, and see which ‘modernized’ Log Cabins won the rosettes.
Quilt Registration Process

For each quilt being placed in our show, a Registration Form must be handed in by March 25, 2007. A picture of each quilt must be attached to the Registration Form.

All quilts must have a sleeve. Bed quilt sleeves must be a minimum of 4" wide. Miniatures, Wall Hangings and Lap/Crib/Cuddle quilts must be handed in with an appropriate-sized rod and sleeve. For help making sleeves/rod pockets, please go to www.quilterscache.com/H/howtomakerodpockets.html
